Archive for the ‘Jalapeno Popper Dip’ Category

My hubby and I decided that we are going to try a new appetizer, hor devours or snack each Sunday during football.  We love trying new things and football games are a great excuse to have those fun little snacks you may not normally have.

I got this recipe off of pinterest and being that I like spicy foods and cream cheese I knew it had to be good.  However, I think it was better than good…it may be my new favorite dip.  The site I got it from serves this dip with Ritz crackers and my husband liked it best this way but I preferred it with tortilla chips.  We will definitely be making this again!

Ingredients:

3-4 slices of bacon, diced and cooked crispy
1 8-oz packages of cream cheese, soft
1/2 cup of mayonnaise
2-3 jalapeno’s, chopped and deseeded.  The seeds will make it fiery hot.
1/2 cup of cheddar cheese, shredded
1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/8 cup diced green onion
Topping:
1/2 cup of crushed crackers ( I used Ritz)
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 stick of butter, melted
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.
Combine all of the ingredients into a medium bowl.  Stir well.  Transfer to an oven proof dish.  Combine the topping ingredients and sprinkle all over the top of the dip.
Bake the dip for 20-30 minutes or until bubbly.  Allow to cool for a bit then serve warm with crackers or tortilla chips.
